This article will navigate you through donating to a fundraising page, known also as a campaign, on givestar.io with little to no hassle!
1) Visit givestar.io, and search the campaign name or the name of the person fundraising in the search bar at the top left corner!
2) Select the according campaign!
3) Upon viewing the campaign, navigate to the give now button which will take you through donation.
4) Input the amount you would like to donate with the addition of your details involving first name, last name and email address*.
*Your email address is mandatory due to the providence of a receipt of the donation transaction.
5) Next, a voluntary contribution (more information on this here) and gift aid (information on this here) is present. Please note this can vary per page due to preferences of the fundraiser so please do not be alarmed if they are not given as an option!
If you would like to proceed with no voluntary contribution, simply select other > input £0 and press continue!
When selecting gift aid, you will have the option if you would like to add it on or not! Please note this is not added to your overall amount chargeable and you will not be charged for giftaid.
If you select yes, the following details are mandatory. Don't forget to confirm you are a UK taxpayer and your donation is not part of a raffle, auction, etc. Your name, email, house number/name and postcode are mandatory details needed for gift aid.
