      How can I make my fundraising page private?

      Learn how to make your fundraising page on givestar. This FAQ provides step-by-step instructions for both web browsers and the givestar mobile app

      Setting your campaign to private hides it from public searches on the givestar website and app, but anyone with the campaign link can still access and support it. You can continue fundraising by sharing your campaign link with friends and family. 

       

      To make your fundraising campaign private when you create your campaign on web browsers, follow these steps:


      1. Visit the givestar website and sign in to your account. If you're new, sign up and complete your profile. (These options appear on the top right of the homepage).
      2. Click on the ‘Create New’ button.
      3. Add the charities you wish to fundraise for, and customise your campaign name, description, and image. Explain why you're fundraising for these charities and set a fundraising target.
      4. Just before the 'Create Campaign' button at the bottom, you'll find a checkbox labelled 'Enable private campaign.' Check this box to make your campaign private.
      5. Click ‘Create Campaign’

      To make your fundraising campaign private on the givestar app, follow these steps:


        1. If you haven't already, download the givestar app from the Apple App Store if you’re an iPhone user, or download the givestar app from the Google Play Store if you’re an Android user. 

        2. Open the givestar app and tap ‘Sign Up’ to create a new account.

        3.  Tap the ‘Start Fundraising’ button.
        4.  Choose your charities and customise your campaign by adding a name, description, and image. Share why you're fundraising and set a fundraising target.
        5. Scroll down to the ‘Voucher code’ field. Just below it, you'll see a checkbox labeled 'Enable private campaign.' Tick this box to make your campaign private.
        6. Tap ‘Create Page’ to finalise your campaign.


      To make your live campaign private, follow these steps on our website (these steps also apply if you initially created your campaign on our app):


      1. Visit the givestar website and sign in to your account. The ‘sign in’ option appears on the top right of the homepage.
      2. Click on the campaign you wish to make private under ‘Your fundraising’
      3. Click on ‘Edit page’ on the top left of your campaign page
      4. Scroll down to the bottom of your campaign where you'll find a checkbox labelled 'Enable private campaign.' Check this box to make your campaign private.
      5. Click the ‘Save’ button.
