What is the process of creating a fundraising page?

This article will guide you on how to set up a fundraising page on givestar.io with the facilitation of editing and sharing the page.

1) First, log in to givestar.io and select sign up in the top right corner (a rectangle yellow button!). 




2) Upon selecting sign up, input your details (first and last name, email address and a creation of a password). These details are all mandatory. 

Kindly note a password requires it to be 6 or more characters as well as the inclusion of a capital and lowercase letters, number and a special character. An example of a valid password could be Welcome123*. 




3. Once you are signed up, the ‘My Campaigns’ page will automatically be present. The page can also be directed by clicking on the megaphone icon in the top right corner.

To create a fundraising page, simply select ‘ + CREATE NEW ‘. 




4. Fill in your fundraising page with your desired details. This includes what charity you would like to support (*you can pick up to 4 charities!), name, description, fundraising target and a photo. Continue to the button to ‘Create Campaign’.

5. After creating your campaign/fundraising page, it will be present in the ‘my campaigns’ tab. To edit and share the page, simply click on the according one. 




6. Select the ‘edit page’ button at the top left of your fundraising page. Once the changes are made, don’t forget to press save!








7. To share your page, redirect to your fundraising page and click share. This will enable you to be able to share your page link on Whatsapp, Facebook, X and Linkedin!

             


8. Your fundraising page is now ready to be seen! Donors and users of the platform can search, donate and share your page.
